Fencing in 2007
One of only six sports participating in every modern Olympics, fencing requires speed, timing, tactics and lightning-fast reflexes to win the duel of armed combat. Athletes compete in three types of swords - foil, epee and sabre - in this fast and emotionally charged sport.
The Arnold Fencing Classic is a newer event in the Arnold Sports Festival. Over the past two decades, the Arnold Sports Festival has become the largest multi-sports festival in the nation welcoming over 132,000 attendees and 17,000 athletes including 14 Olympic sports from around the world competing in martial arts, gymnastics, bodybuilding, fencing, cheerleading, 5K pump & run, powerlifting and more.
